Robert A. Holubec, Attorney at Law

Mr. Holubec spent three years studying animals science at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. A Texas native, he originally was a ranch manager in central Texas. His ranching career was cut short by a work-related injury that prevented him from continuing in an occupation that placed such physical demands upon him.

Upon completion of a 4-year U.S. DoL apprentice program, Mr. Holubec became a journeyman class A/C, Heat, and Refrigeration tech. Eventually, he became a licensed contractor, serving the needs of his clients. After many years, Mr. Holubec returned to Texas A&M and completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

At age 40 Mr. Holubec was accepted into law school, graduating in 1999 and becoming a licensed attorney in 2000. After passing his Kansas State bar exams in 2000, Mr. Holubec, along with Susan Loy, formed Holubec and Loy, LLC and have practiced law since. Robert applied for and was approved a member of the United States Supreme Court Bar in Washington, D.C. in 2004.

Susan Loy, Attorney at Law

Susan Loy spent 16 years as a bookkeeper for the largest privately held company in the United States. She was charged with multi-state petroleum product taxes and was responsible for the payment of millions of dollars for the company’s taxes. While working, Ms. Loy attended college in the evenings, earning her bachelor’s degree in general studies. Ms. Loy was accepted into Washburn School of Law in Topeka in 1996 and graduated in 1999.

After passing the Kansas State bar exam in 2000, Susan formed Holubec & Loy, LLC with partner Robert Holubec and has practiced law since. She applied for and was approved as a member of the United States Supreme Court bar in Washington, D.C. in 2004.
